Affiliate Marketing Definition
Definition: An
affiliate program is an online commission sales program and the act of
"affiliate marketing" is being involved in earning through such a program.
It basically works like this...a company sets up an affiliate program and
gives an "affiliate" a certain percentage for each sale brought to the
company. Affiliates can promote products through opt-in email, on a website
and elsewhere online, as long as it is within the affiliate program's
guidelines.
An affiliate is provided with a special tracking link that allows all
referrals to the company website to be tracked.
