Pay-Per-Click Affiliate Program Definition

Definition:
A pay-per-click affiliate program is one where an affiliate is paid for each click made on their tracking link.

Pay-per-click programs are rare as it is often costly for companies to protect themselves against click fraud. While not traditionally termed "affiliate programs", advertising networks (ex. Google Adsense) often pay out for each time an ad is clicked.
